World Environment Day

It is the United Nations day for encouraging worldwide awareness and action to protect our environment. The foods we eat, the air we breathe, the water we drink and the climate that makes our planet habitable all come from nature. It’s Time for Nature with a focus on its role in providing the essential infrastructure that supports life on Earth and human development.

Netaji Jayanti 

In 1942, he earned the title ‘Netaji’, in Germany by the Indian soldiers of the Azad Hind Fauj. Subhas Chandra Bose was born on 23rd January 1897, in Cuttack, Orissa Division, Bengal Province, to Prabhavati Dutt Bose and Janakinath Bose. Bose is credited with the very famous slogan, “Give me blood, and I shall give you freedom!” as well as Jai Hind.

National deworming Day

It is an initiative of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India to make every child in the country worm free. This is one of the largest public health programs reaching large number of children during a short period. Deworming tablets allows people to absorb the critical nutrients needed to be and stay healthy.  

Consumers Day

Every year, 24th of December is observed as Consumer Day in India. It is observed to highlight the importance of the consumer movement and the need to make every consumer more aware of their rights and responsibilities.   Celebrating the day is a chance to demand that the rights of all consumers are respected and protected, and to protest against market abuses and social injustices which undermine those rights.




Babu Jagjivan Ram Jayanti

It was born on April 5th 1908 in Bihar into an 'untouchable' caste. Even during his education and formative years, he showed his desire to fight for the rights of the scheduled castes and the oppressed and downtrodden. He holds the world record for being a parliamentarian for 50 uninterrupted years, from 1936 to 1986.

B.R Ambedkar Jayanti

It is an annual festival observed on 14 April to commemorate the memory of B. R. Ambedkar, Indian polymath, the father of the Constitution of India and civil rights activist. Since 2015 it has been observed as an official public holiday throughout India. Ambedkar Jayanti is celebrated not just in India rather all around the world.


World Heritage Day

Shared Cultures, Thread Heritage, Shared Responsibility, the aim of which is to raise awareness about values and conservation of our heritage sites. The day is celebrated with an aim to boost local communities and people to know the importance of cultural heritage in their lives. It also centres on spreading awareness about diversity and the susceptibility of cultural heritage, amid efforts to conserve them.


International Day of Workers

 It is also known as Labour Day in some countries and often referred to as May Day, is a celebration of labourers and the working classes that is promoted by the international labour movement and occurs every year on May Day (1 May). The day is a public holiday with parades and demonstrations in many countries.





International Youth Day

 IYD gives an opportunity to celebrate and mainstream young peoples' voices, actions and initiatives, as well as their meaningful, universal and equitable engagement. It is an awareness day designated by the United Nations. The purpose of the day is to draw attention to a given set of cultural and legal issues surrounding youth. The first IYD was observed on 12 August, 2000.

August International friendship day ( 1st. Sunday )

Friendship Day is celebrated across several countries. It was first proposed in Paraguay in 1958 as International Friendship Day. It is, however, known to have originated from Hallmark cards, by Joyce Hall, in 1930. The United Nations finally declared July 30 as the official International Friendship Day. In India, however, it is usually celebrated on the first Sunday of the month of August.


Bhagat Singh Jayanti


Bhagat Singh  (1907 – 23 March 1931) was an Indian socialist revolutionary whose two acts of dramatic violence against the British in India and execution at age 23 made him a folk hero of the Indian independence movement. In still later years, Singh, an atheist and socialist in life, won admirers in India from among a political spectrum that included both Communists and right-wing nationalists. 


World Rivers Day

It is a celebration of the world's waterways. It highlights the many values of rivers and strives to increase public awareness and encourages the improved stewardship of rivers around the world. It is a global celebration of rivers that occurs annually on the fourth Sunday of September. Rivers are the arteries of our planet; they are lifelines in the truest sense.


International Day of elderly

The UN International Day of Older Persons is an opportunity to highlight the important contributions that older people make to society and raise awareness of the opportunities and challenges of ageing in today's world. It aims to the special health needs of older persons and of their contributions to their own health and to the functioning of the societies in which they live.


Gandhi Jayanti

It is an event celebrated in India to mark the birthday of Mahatma Gandhi. It is celebrated annually on 2 October, and it is one of the three national holidays of India. The UN General Assembly announced on 15 June 2007 that it adopted a resolution which declared that 2 October will be celebrated as the International Day of Non-Violence.


National Girl Child Day

It is celebrated in India every year on January 24. It was started by the Ministry of Women and Child Development and the Government of India in 2008, with the purpose to spread awareness among people about all the inequalities girls face in the Indian society. The day is celebrated by organizing various programs including awareness campaigns on Save the girl child, child sex ratios, and creating a healthy and safe environment for a girl child. 


Kisan Divas

While taking a single grain of food, do we think that how much our food grain cultivators, ie farmers, contribute to the progress of the country?  The view that the security, self-sufficiency and prosperity of the country is not only based on soldiers and weapons but also on farmers and workers.  It is celebrated on December 23 in India and October 12 in the United States of America.



International Human Rights Day

It is observed every year on 10 December — the day the United Nations General Assembly adopted, in 1948, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR): a milestone document proclaiming the inalienable rights which everyone is inherently entitled to as a human being regardless of race, colour, and religion. It is celebrated across the globe by the people to achieve real rights for human beings. 


World Day of Handicapped

The International Day of Persons with Disabilities is celebrated every year on 3rd December since 1992. The celebration revolves around a common pre-decided theme that significantly impacts the lives of people with disabilities. The observance of the Day aims to promote an understanding of disability issues and mobilize support for the dignity, rights and well-being of persons with disabilities. 


World Students Day


The day was first celebrated in 2010 to honour the students for their hard work and determination.  Every year is celebrated across the globe on October 15. It has become an occasion for universities the world over to boast their masses of international students, and the good they do for the local community.


Abdul Kalam’s Birthday


He was born and raised in Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu and studied physics and aerospace engineering on15 October 1931 – 27 July 2015 was an Indian aerospace scientist and politician who served as the 11th President of India from 2002 to 2007. He spent the next four decades as a scientist and science administrator, mainly at (DRDO) and (ISRO) and was intimately involved in India's civilian space programme and military missile development efforts.



RTI Implementation Day


With presidential assent, the Central Government and State Governments now have 120 days to implement the provisions of the Bill in its entirety. The Act formally came into force on 12 October 2005. The Act covers all Central Government, State Government and local bodies, as well as some private bodies.


UN Day


UN Day marks the anniversary of the entry into force in 1945 of the UN Charter.24 October has been celebrated as United Nations Day since 1948. In 1971, the United Nations General Assembly recommended that the day be observed by Member States as a public holiday. 51 countries came together to create the United Nations, or the U.N. Its purpose was to promote peace and cooperation around the world. 


World Pollution Day


 December 2 is observed as National Pollution Control Day to raise awareness about the problem caused by increasing pollution as everyone on the earth is entitled to clean air to breathe, water to drink, and to enjoy public lands. Pollution is just a problem whether it be air, water, soil and noise. So be the change you want to see and help the sick planet to turn into a beautiful one.


Legal Services Day

Legal Service Day is celebrated to make people aware of the various provisions under the Legal Services Authorities Act and the right of the litigants. Each jurisdiction organizes Lok Adalats, legal aid camps and legal aid programmes. On 11 October 1987, the Legal Services Authorities Act 1987 was enacted. The act was took effect on 9 November 1995.




Constitutional Day


 Also known as Samvidhan Divas, is celebrated in India on 26 November every year to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India. On 26 November 1949, the Constituent Assembly of India adopted the Constitution of India, and it came into effect on 26 January 1950. 26 November was chosen to spread the importance of the constitution and to spread thoughts and ideas of Ambedkar.
