World Rivers Day

It is a celebration of the world's waterways. It highlights the many values of rivers and strives to increase public awareness and encourages the improved stewardship of rivers around the world. It is a global celebration of rivers that occurs annually on the fourth Sunday of September. Rivers are the arteries of our planet; they are lifelines in the truest sense.

  In order to hearten more juvenile voters to participate in the political procedure,  Government of India has decided to honour January 25 every year as "National Voters' Day" (Hindi: राष्ट्रीय मतदाता दिवस).
