International Youth Day

IYD gives an opportunity to celebrate and mainstream young peoples' voices, actions and initiatives, as well as their meaningful, universal and equitable engagement. It is an awareness day designated by the United Nations. The purpose of the day is to draw attention to a given set of cultural and legal issues surrounding youth. The first IYD was observed on 12 August, 2000.

National Voters'Day

  In order to hearten more juvenile voters to participate in the political procedure,  Government of India has decided to honour January 25 every year as "National Voters' Day" (Hindi: राष्ट्रीय मतदाता दिवस). It has been started from January 26, 2011 to salute Commission's foundation day. The motive of celebrating National Voters’ Day is to make the youth knowledgeable of voting.
