What are our Activities:
Right from begining we are engaged in educating the youth. Seminars, youth engagements, rallying for rights are our constant endeavour.
Starting from 15th. August 2019, the year in which HRC was founded, we approached many schools and colleges canvassing for eco friendly Ganesh Puja, but still with high fervour, discussion on Rights of Scheduled castes, seminars on Fundmental Rights & Duties on the eve of Constitutional day on 26th. November, finally culminating to huge rally of nearly 700 supporters on DECEMBER 10th. International Human Rights Day in the year 2019.
New challenges have surfaced in the form of COVID-19.
In fighting COVID-19, HRC played an important role.
Right from begining we are actively engaged in helping people who lost their lively hood due to LOCKDOWN.
Nearly 526 families were provided ration, 2500 masks distributed to police personal who acted as barrier against spreading of the decease.
Visakhapatnam LG-POLYMERS styrene gas leakage on 7th. May 2020 is another occasion where HRC team is actively engaged.
Providing food to nearly 15000 plus displaced by coordinating with other NGOs in the city. Thanks to Seva Bharati, Viswa Hindu Parishat, local corporator aspiring candidates from various political parties, and other noble citizens.
Simhachalam Devasthanam has kindly extended its cooperation by giving food & Shelter to the displaced people, till they are back to their homes.
HRC also instituted a FACT FINDING TEAM on Styrene Gas Leakage from LG-POLYMERS with eminent personalities of the city under the chairmanship of Shri G. Nageswar Rao former vice-chancelor Andhra University to find out and suggest various means so that the incident never repeats again.
For an NGO to survive it needs strategic approach to new challenges.
Creating awareness on social distancing, data collection and analysis on medical practitioners, medical shops, emergency services etc and making people aware of new technologies in fighting COVID-19 like Aaroogya Sethu App is on our next agenda.
What Next:
Training on Human Rights in coordination with NATIONAL HUMAN RIGHTS COMMISSION, youth awareness on Drug addiction and its effects, fight against drug addiction including liquor addiction is on top of our agenda.
